The requirements for this role include the following technical skills:
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience with proven end-to-end product delivery
- Strong full-stack expertise: modern frontend (React/Vue/Angular), backend APIs (Node.js/Python/Go/Java), and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) plus pragmatic use of NoSQL when needed
- Solid system design skills: scalable architectures, data modeling, caching, queues, background jobs, and API design
- Production-grade engineering: testing strategy (unit/integration/e2e), code review discipline, CI/CD, and incident-friendly observability (logging/metrics/tracing)
- Cloud proficiency (AWS/Azure/GCP): networking basics, IAM, security best practices, containers (Docker), and infrastructure as code (Terraform/CloudFormation) is a plus
- AI-enabled development mastery: ability to leverage tools like Codex/Cursor (or equivalents) responsibly—prompting, codegen, refactoring, test generation, debugging, and documentation—while validating correctness and security
- Applied AI literacy: comfortable integrating LLMs into products (RAG, embeddings, vector databases, tool/function calling, evaluation, cost/latency trade-offs) and knowing when not to use AI

You will partner directly with the CEO to translate business priorities into technical roadmaps and shipped outcomes. You will architect and implement full-stack solutions (frontend, backend, data, and cloud), establish engineering standards, and ensure reliability through testing, observability, and secure-by-default practices. You will use AI development tools to accelerate delivery while enforcing strong validation (tests, reviews, threat checks, and performance profiling). You will own technical execution across the product lifecycle: discovery support, prototyping, productionization, deployment, monitoring, and iteration. As a budget owner, you will manage and optimize costs across cloud infrastructure, AI/API usage, and external vendors—defining guardrails and alerts to prevent waste. You will mentor up to two junior developers via pairing, code reviews, and structured growth plans, ensuring consistent quality and velocity. You will proactively identify risks and bottlenecks, propose pragmatic solutions, and drive continuous improvement in architecture, tooling, and delivery processes.
